Labuschagne Dropped from Australian ODI Lineup Against Team India

The Australian selectors have left out Labuschagne from Australia's three-game ODI series against India, with high-performing Queensland teammate Matt Renshaw getting a surprise call-up.

Recent Form Result in Omission

Selectors dropped Labuschagne from the one-day international team after scoring just one run in his two batting efforts during the top-end series against South Africa in August. He has a highest score of forty-seven in his previous ten ODI innings.

The 31-year-old has played 68 one-day internationals and accumulated 1,871 ODI runs at an average of 34.64 runs per dismissal, but will now focus on earning a return to the Test side ahead of the Ashes beginning in Perth on 21 November.

Renshaw's Return and Other Squad Changes

There have been indications of a improvement in form with a score of 160 for Queensland in the domestic first-class competition this week, while Renshaw made a century for the Bulls in the identical match against Tasmania.

Renshaw could to make his first white-ball appearance in the forthcoming series against India after his last inclusion in an ODI squad in 2022.

Australia’s three-game ODI series against India starts on October 19 in Perth, before the rivals play five T20 internationals from 29 October.
